COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective The aim of this course is to help students improve their knowledge of basic Russian grammar structures and vocabulary, enabling them to communicate in written and spoken forms on topics such as daily life, city navigation, expressing needs, and describing past and future events. Throughout the course, students will reinforce their language skills through the use of newspaper articles, dialogues, short texts, and authentic cultural materials, while also gaining awareness of Russian culture. The course focuses on the correct and context-appropriate use of various verb conjugations, noun cases, conjunctions, and everyday conversational expressions.
Course Content Interactional method of communication; grammatical structures and vocabulary frequently used in newspapers, magazines, long dialogues, reading passages and short stories; patterns to develop the tendency to speak and information about Russian culture.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1The student uses the structures of Russian grammar.
2The student consolidates the meaning of verbs of motion (глаголы движения) and uses them correctly with prepositions of place and direction.
3The student distinguishes between perfective and imperfective verbs (виды глаголов) and uses them in the appropriate context.
4Participate in dialog and role-playing activities to improve their oral expression skills.
5Practices speaking in different tense structures.
6The student builds sentences with conjunctions
7The student provides information about Russian culture.
