Course Objective The aim of the course is that students learn grammatical structures and vocabulary frequently used in newspapers, magazines, long dialogues, reading passages and short stories through interactive communication methods; to learn about Russian culture through authentic materials.
Course Content Interactional method of communication; grammatical structures and vocabulary frequently used in newspapers, magazines, long dialogues, reading passages and short stories; patterns to develop the tendency to speak and information about Russian culture.

2 Parts of the day, use of adverbs of frequency, describing a day
3 Adjective-noun agreement. Conjugation of adjectives according to nouns.
4 Adverbs, and the difference in the use of tenses, question adjectives and question adverbs
5 Colours again, depiction of appearance, clothes
6 The nominative case. Exercises and examples, conjugation of the verbs want and seek
7 Verbs to live (жить), to read (читать) and to learn (изучить). Repetition of numbers. Cultural information about Russia
8 Learning the expressions because (потому что...) and therefore (поэтому...). Possible (можно) and forbidden (нелзя) expressions
