COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective	The aim of this course is to equip students from non-theological academic disciplines with the ability to recite the Qur’an accurately in accordance with the rules of Tajwīd. The course focuses on teaching Arabic letters, their articulation points and phonetic characteristics, as well as the fundamental rules of Tajwīd. It also aims to develop students’ awareness of religious texts through practical recitation exercises.
Course Content	This course covers the introduction to the Arabic alphabet, articulation points and phonetic features of letters, vowel signs and reading marks, and the basic rules of Tajwīd (such as idghām, ikhfa, iqlāb, izhār, and madd). It also includes practical recitation of selected short surahs and verses from the Qur’an, with a focus on improving individual reading skills and accurate pronunciation.
