1627 BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING PHD

GENERAL INFORMATION
The PhD program equips the student with the necessary skills to conduct independent research, to interpret and analyze scientific problems and data with a broad and deep perspective and reach new syntheses.

Objective
Biomedical Engineering PhD program aims to train graduates who are able to; Carry out original studies that contribute to the production of knowledge in the fields within the scope of Biomedical Engineering, Lead the adaptation and use of the outputs of academic studies to the production and service sector, Carry out education, training and research activities in academic units in the field.


Admission Requirements
Graduates of the Biomedical Engineering Master's Program with thesis can apply to the Biomedical Engineering PhD program. Candidates must have obtained at least 65 points in numerical score from ALES (Academic Personnel and Postgraduate Education Entrance Exam) and at least 55 points from YDS (Foreign Language Proficiency Exam) or a foreign language exam whose validity is accepted by the Interuniversity Board of Turkey.

Graduation Requirements
Biomedical Engineering PhD program consists of 240 ECTS credits including at least seven courses with not less than 60 ECTS in one academic term, two seminars, PhD qualifying exam, thesis proposal, specialized field course and thesis work, for students who have been accepted with a master's degree.

Career Opportunties
A successful student who has completed at least one semester in another institution / department of the university or another post-graduate program of another higher education institution may be admitted to the post-graduate programs by horizontal transfer. The conditions for acceptance by horizontal transfer are determined by the Senate.

Recognition of Prior Learning
