511 ARCHITECTURAL RESTORATION

GENERAL INFORMATION
Restoration Program; in our country which has thousands of years of civilization history, to protect against all kinds of negative factors without changing the structural and visual characteristics of immovable and portable cultural assets, restoration without any attempt to repair or completion and restoration of damaged parts in accordance with scientific principals. is a two-year associate degree program in which education is provided to train technicians.

Objective
In the Restoration Program, where theoretical and practical education is provided, conservation concepts, basic principles and methods of restoration and conservation; wood and cement material properties, construction technology and construction; basic technical drawing rules and technical drawing skill on computer; traditional types of construction, concepts of traditional building elements, all structural and non-structural elements and their components and their functions, materials and form features; removing and analyzing the structures of traditional structures and building elements, identifying the current situation and drawing restoration and restitution projects; acquisition of basic knowledge about traditional handicrafts; the methods of using the photographs in the production of the historical works, the acquisition of the theory and the skill that can be used in the restoration laboratories


Admission Requirements
ASSOCIATE DEGREE YÖKÜN is determined by the OSYM which the relevant legislation directs

Graduation Requirements
The student completes 120 ECTS / ECTS credits and graduates from the program.

Career Opportunties
The employment areas of graduates of the Architectural Restoration Program in our country are quite extensive. Those who graduated from our program? Restoration Technician? (Ministry of Culture and Tourism Restoration and Conservation Central Laboratory, Directorate of Surveys and Monuments, General Directorate of Foundations, Protection and Supervision Departments of KUDEB,?) and private institutions in the laboratories, construction sites and bureaus of the Ministry of National Palaces museums and palaces or in private museums, archeological excavation teams and construction sites, as well as architects.

Access to Further Studies
Without examination the graduates of Anadolu University Open Education Faculty have the right to migrate 3rd class. In addition, DGS, if they are successful in the graduate program of formal education there are opportunities to continue.

TEACHING & LEARNING METHODS

LecturingLecturing is one of the methods that come first, where the teacher is in the center. It is a method where the teacher actively describes topics and the students are passive listeners. With this method, lesson proceeds in the form of report, description and explanation.
DebateDepending on the situation, debate is a tool that allows all students, or a specific portion of the class to participate in the lesson. In this method, members of the group discuss a topic by addressing the various points of view and discuss alternative opinions about problem-solving.
