Course Objective "The primary aim of this course is to get to know the current approaches employed in the literature lately which are needed in Turkish teaching practices. The current approaches to language teaching would be examined after acquiring the basic concepts in first language teaching, objectives of teaching Turkish, problems and possible solutions, language skills, a general perspective on evaluation and testing techniques used in Turkish classes. Behaviourist language teaching approaches and methods would be argued within the history of language teaching approaches in the world. Correspondingly, discussions on grammar, vocabulary and culture approaches, natural and direct teaching methods would be held. "
