Course Objective To teach the etiology, treatment planning and special features of orthodontic treatment in cleft palate patients and combined orthodontic- surgical (orthognathic surgery) treatment
Course Content Neonatal maxillary orthopedics and orthodontic treatment considerations in decidous, mixed and permanent dentitions in cleft lip-palate patients, the principles of orthognathic surgery, patient evaluation, diagnosis and treatment planning, distraction osteogenesis, new bone formation, potential mistakes and complications.
