Course Objective learn the carbonhydrates biochemistry
Course Content Structure, nomenclature, classifications, properties, chemical reactions of carbonhydrates. Catabolism of carbonhydrates; digestion, absorbtion of carbonhydrates, glycolysis, catabolism of glycogen, tricarboxxylic acid cycle, pentose phosphate pathway. Aerobic and anaerobic ATP generation in metabolism. Biosynthesis of carbonhydrates, gluconeogenesis, glycogenolysis, glucose formation with photosynthesis, photorespiration and other carbonhydrates metabolism. Regulation of carbonhydrates metabolic pathway and hormonal and enzmatic control of important intersection. Metabolik errors of carbonhydrates.
