Course Objective Comprehend the Historical Turkish dialects and the connections among them; notice the phonetic, morphological, syntactic, and lexical similarities differences of the dialects and gain the knowledge of establishing organic connections to the modern Turkish dialects.
Course Content Studying one or some of the old Turkish dialects (Köktürk, Uygur, Karahanlı, Harezm, Çağatay, Kıpçak, Old Anatolian Turkish) in terms of phonology, morphology, lexical and semantic perspectives so that students can make analyses and comparisons between those dialects.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Historical periods of Turkish voice, understand the format and syntax. Acquire the language skills of historical research in general.
2Harezm, Kipchak, Chagatai and Ancien Anatolien Turkish thinking about and using the methods of investigation to reach the information about the general area of ​​the Turkish language.
3Improve the knowledge of the comparative Turkic etymology.
