Course Objective Objectives of the course is to learn the Manichaean writing system and alphabet used by Turks by the early ages, to understand the social, economic, religious and linguistic reasons of this diverse range of alphabet adoptions and to read the Turkic historical texts written by this writing system.
Course Content Scripts which were used to record the oldest Turkic language; Manichaean alphabet, Turkish works recorded in these scripts; subject matters of these texts.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

1To be knowledgeable about the writing systems used to record the old Turkic.
2Being able to recognize the alphabets which were used to record the oldest Turkic inscriptions and manuscripts.
3Being able to acquire theTurkic Manichaean alphabet; being able to inquire the origin of the Turkic Manichaean alphabet, being able to read the Turkish texts.
