Course Objective This course aims at analysis of literary texts. The course has a particular focus on developing a sophisticated understanding of the formal elements, literary terms through short stories, poems and short plays. By the end of the course, successful students will have demonstrated: an understanding of the major literary terms and a critical understanding of the individual texts and a sense an understanding of the significant role literary texts have played in shaping our sense of the textual analysis. Furthermore, this course will enable the students to view the world around them through a literary perspective. .
Course Content In this course students analyse literary texts with a particular focus on developing a sophisticated understanding of the formal elements of literary terms through short stories, poems and short plays.
