Course Objective The aim of this course is to examine preventive approaches in working with couples and marriage preparation programs.
Course Content The role and functions of the marriage institution, recognition of potential spouse, agreement levels of potential spouses, pre-marriage coexistence, the meanings attributed by couples to the basic concepts of family and marriage, their expectations from marriage, the effect of root families on marriage, getting psychological counseling assistance before marriage decision, preventive approaches in working with couples , examining marriage preparation programs, marital empowerment training and prevention-relationship empowerment program, therapeutic approaches for couples, reasons for applying to couple counseling, couple and marital counseling approaches, process and targeted outcomes in approaches, divorce, adjustment to divorce, counseling process, objectives, counseling role and its function, principles and techniques.
