Course Objective The aim of this course is to teach the psychological components and process to create ideal exercise, sport and physical education environment based on the theories and practices.
Course Content 1. Introduction to the course outline 2. Achievement Goal Theory – Achievement goal (Dichotomous, Trichotomous, 2x2 and 3x2 Models), implications for physical education, exercise and sport 3. Achievement Goal Theory – Motivational climate, implications for physical education, exercise and sport 4. Introduction to Self-Determination Theory 5. Causality Orientation Theory and Organismic Integration Theory, implications for physical education, exercise and sport 6. Basic Psychological Needs Theory and Cognitive Evaluation Theory, implications for physical education, exercise and sport 7. MID TERM 8. Self-concept and implications for physical education, exercise and sport 9. Motor performance and feedback 10. Competitive anxiety 11. Physical literacy 12. Supporting life-long physical activity and psychological & emotional well-being 13. Transformational coaching 14. FINAL EXAM
