Course Objective	To introduce of the advanced materials that are used in automotive industry.
Course Content	Introduction to the advanced materials and vehicle lightweighting, Advanced materials, Advanced metal-forming technologies, Aluminium sheets, Polymer and composite moulding technologies for automotive applications, High-pressure die-cast (HPDC) aluminium alloys, Advanced automotive body structures, Advanced materials and technologies for reducing noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) in automobiles, Joining technologies for automotive components.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES

1	Learns the advanced materials used in automotive applications.
2	Compare the properties of metal, polymer, and composite materials used in the automotive industry.
3	Explain the fundamental principles of technologies such as metal forming, polymer molding, and composite molding.
4	Evaluate the effects of materials and manufacturing technologies used in advanced automotive body structures on vehicle lightweighting performance.
5	Learn advanced materials and technologies used for noise and vibration reduction.
