Course Objective Knowledge and ability to apply the quality control in textile process stages, quality standards.
Course Content Quality concept and its importance in textiles. Total quality management. Quality assurance systems, ISO 9000, TSE norms. Quality systems and their uses in the textile industry. Statistical quality control, review of Binomial, Poisson and Normal distributions, control charts. Process control, on-line and off-line quality control, control points and control frequency. Quality cost. Application of quality control techniques in textile mills .
