Course Objective The aim of this course is to enable the postgraduate students to learn the failure analysis of machine elements.
Course Content Failure types, elastic and plastic deformation, brittle failure, fatigue, wear, creep, impact failure, corrosion. Failure of welded joints, bolted connections, pins, shafts, bearing, spring, gears, chains and belt transmissions.
