Course Content To give an introduction to environmental geochemistry and the use of geochemistry in the resolution of environmental problems. Course Contents: Ions and Aqueous Solutions Acid-Base Equilibria, Solubility Equilibria, Oxidation Reduction Weathering Reactions, Adsorption Processes Kinetics, Biogeochemistry and Geomicrobiology, Organic Contaminants, Heavy Metals, Acid Mine Drainage, Soil and Groundwater Remediation Methods.
