Course Objective Give basic knowledge about recent advances in protein structure-function relationships from both a biological and chemical perspective.
Course Content Primary & Secondary Structure of proteins, Motifs & Supersecondary Structure, Tertiary Structure & Fold Types, Forces that Determine Protein Structure, Mechanisms of Protein Folding Pathways, Background and Basic Principles, Absorption and Fluorescence, Circular Dichroism and Optical Rotation, Fluctuation Spectroscopy, Mass Spectrometry, X-Ray Crystallography, Basic NMR Principles and Parameters, 19F NMR Studies of Protein Folding, Protein Structure Determination, Ligand-Protein Interactions .
