Course Objective To discuss today's the theory of stratification.
Course Content Social stratification and mobility in contemporary societies, social stratication theories, class in contemporary societies. Neo-Weberian and Neo-Marxist Theories. This course focuses on patterns of collective identity and solidarity and conflict based factors as descent, customs and communal fragmentation coexist with the emerging class formations in Turkey. .

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1ranking the basic concepts the process of stratification and social mobility and facts and events queues.
2commenting the social Stratification and mobility analysis of the basic theoretical orientation of the figures
3 Understanding the context of Turkey's socio-historical processes of social stratification theory applies.
4Processes of social mobility in the West emerged historical circumstances, and it shows what kind of features makes the comparative analysis of other types of society.
