Course Objective The objective of this course is to examine deeply the process of globalization at the capitalist order. Globalization as a new stage of capitalist accumulation affected the each scale as local, national and global. By that new stage nation state has been restructured around economic, political, administrative and social dimensions. In the context of that course, rescaling of state has been discussed on mainly from the administrative framework. How nation state transformed, which responsibilities of state have been transferred to the local level, how local administrations affected from that new process are some research topics of this course.
Course Content In this course; the concept and process of globalization is being examined and the administrative, political and economic effects of globalization on the nation-state are analyzed in detail.
