Course Objective The aims of this course is the basic concepts related to efficiency and productivity is introduced to students. Within the framework of this course, students are expected writing paper about productivity.
Course Content productivity and efficiency, productivity and efficiency concepts and their scope, the basic determinants of productivity, efficiency and productivity discrimination, production theory, production function: Cobb-Douglas, CES and VES production functions, Translog production function, nonparametric production function, linear programming, primal-dual relation and solution method, basic index: price and quantitiy index, data envelopment analysis and Malmquist productivity index, stochastic frontier analysis, variable time model of inefficiency
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
