COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective The general aim of this course; To ensure that the school and the classroom where the teaching practice will be carried out are observed closely, and the results of the observations are reported. The main topics that can be covered in the course are: Observation and recognition of the school as an educational and learning environment; examination of the physical characteristics and institutional structure of the school; researching the duties and responsibilities of school administrators, teachers and other personnel; observing the relations of the school with the society in which it is located; observing the physical, social, educational and psychological aspects of the classroom; reviewing the school program; observing the teacher's daily lesson and educational activities at school and in the classroom; observing a student's day at school. To provide students with the necessary knowledge, skills and values to use the gains they have gained in other courses in a certain field, to make observations about field-specific special teaching methods and techniques; to be able to make micro-teaching practices by using field-specific special teaching methods and techniques; the ability to independently plan a lesson; developing course-related activities and materials; preparing teaching environments; managing the classroom, measuring, evaluating and reflecting.
