Course Objective To introduce the automotive manufacturing technologies and their industrial uses to automotive engineering students.
Course Content Crack control of engine parts, crankshafts, structure, balance, surface hardening methods, controls, failures, manufacturing, crankshaft grinding machines, surface grinding of the main and the arm pivot, polishing, cylinder blocks, types, structure, measurement and control, malfunctions, manufacturing methods , cylindrical grinding machines, milling the inner surfaces of the cylinder, cylinder honing machines, honing cylinders, control and honing errors, cylinder liners, cam shafts, determining the profile of cam shafts, cam grinding machines, camshaft manufacturing, plane surface grinding, milling (cylinder head, cylinder block, flywheel and manifold surfaces), pistons, structure, types, controls, failures, piston manufacturing, piston rods, structure, controls, failures, manufacturing, grinding head rod, main bearings, bearing types, faults, bearing manufacturing, sleeve bearings, sleeve bearing lathes, valves, valve grinding machines, valve seats and seat inserts processing, valve guides, reaming and honing, piston pin hole, brake wheel cylinders, rod pillars, and rod head honing.
