Course Objective Classification of high-tech ceramics, properties, application areas to learn the methods of advanced high-tech ceramics production.
Course Content Classification and properties of high-tech ceramics, uses and traditional comparison with ceramics, carbide ceramics: silicon carbide properties, applications, properties and uses of boron carbide, boron nitride, aluminum nitride, and properties and applications of silicon nitride ceramic powders, carbide and nitride ceramics production techniques, the importance of our country's boron reserves, Oxide ceramics: Alumina properties, application areas, zircon and zirconia ceramics production and investigation of their properties, high-tech ceramics shaping methods: Casting by way of forming method, high-tech ceramics, extrusion and injection by the method of shaping, dry pressing, isostatic pressing parameters Explanation of hot pressing (HP), hot isostatic pressing (HIP) process parameters Explanation of sintering mechanisms in
