Course Objective Students will consolidate, improve, deficiency and demonstrate their knowledge with chemical kinetics, chemical equilibrium, thermochemistry, acids and bases, electrochemistry and head group elements.
Course Content Chemical Kinetics: Rate laws, speed and measurement of reactions. Chemical Equilibrium: Basic principles, Equilibrium constant equilibrium, Factors affecting equilibrium. Thermochemistry: Enthalpy, internal energy, entropy. Acids and Bases: Arrhenius concept, Brönsted-Lowry concept, strong and weak acid-bases and acid-base reactions and hydrolysis. Solubility and complex ion balances: solubility product constant, precipitation.
