Course Objective
The aim is to teach students basic Engineering Economy concepts and helping them to make comparison, choice, analysis and evaluation based on economical diversities between alternatives through performing different economic evaluation methods.
Course Content
Basic Concepts, Balance of Cash Flow, Relationships between Time, Money and Interest, Present Worth Method, Annual Worth Method, Future Worth Method, Internal Rate of Return Method, External Rate of Return, Performing Comparison between Alternatives, Cash Flow Analysis After Taxation, Effect of Inflation on Cash Flows, Breakeven Analysis, Benefit-Cost Ratios, Depreciation and Replacement Analysis
