COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective This course aims at improving students’ ability to read and comprehend intermediate level reading passages, to skim and scan the text in order to get the main idea and answer the relevant questions, to make inferences and summaries and to develop their vocabulary about the topic, to make connections between the passage and their own lives and to develop their reading skills in order to make definitions, classifications and analyses.
Course Content The content of this course includes contemporary and academic reading passages which improve students’ ability to read and comprehend intermediate level reading passages and to develop reading subskills.
