Course Objective This course aims to raise the students’ English language skills and knowledge of basic grammar structures to the pre-intermediate level.Students are expected to become aware of creating meaning using pre-intermediate level language structures. They will also be capable of examining language and Word structures in pre-intermediate level context.
Course Content the content of this course includes basic grammar structures and texts which improve the level of students to the pre-intermediate level. At this level students become aware of creating the meaning of sentences and texts by means of language structures. students are capable of examining language structures and words in context at pre-intermediate level

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Our students talk about their daily lives, family members, jobs, rooms and furniture, food, clothes, sports, animals the weather and seasons.
2Our students comprehend articles about various topics,comment on them and ask questions related to them.
3Our students improve their knowledge of grammar related to possessives, present simple, articles, ability, countable and uncountable, past simple, indefinite pronouns, superlatives, necessity and obligation, and present perfect.
4Our students understand listening materials, including dialogues, phone conversations, interview, songs and radio talks, take notes and ask questions about them.
5Our students write greeting cards, application form, invitation, email, post card, personal and formal letter.
6Our students participate in role-plays in various contexts.

1 Definite and indefinite articles- Prepositions (au, à l’, à la, aux / du, de l’ de la, des)- Masculine-Feminine – Singular – Plural articles- Negation- Interrogation- “C’est – Ce sont” Subject pronouns – Pronouns “moi-toi-lui-elle….”
2 Verbs with present continous tense : auxiliary verbs – verbs 1st group (-er)- Possessif adjectives- Pronoun “on” – Prepositions with country names – Question type “Qu’est-ce que…”
3 Adjectives- Colour adjectives - Pourquoi / parce que – Verbs with two pronouns – Verbs 2nd group (-ir) – Imperative form – il faut ….. (Unit 2-3)
4 Some irregular verbs – Demonstratif adjectives (ce-cette-cet-ces) – Articles (du-de la…) – Superlative – Pas de… - Pronouns direct objects (le, le, l’,les) Verbs pouvoir, vouloir, devoir, savoir, sortir,venir, servir, prendre, partir (Unit 3).
