COURSE DESCRIPTION
Course Level Bachelor's Degree

Course Objective It brings in skill and knowledge about the topics of magnetic circuits,transformators,electromechanic energy transmission principles,direct current machines,turning magnetic field.
Course Content Direct Current Machines: E.m.f equation, armature reaction commutation. Direct current motors:Speed and torque characteristics, speed control. Generators:Open circuit characteristics, load characteristics of shunt, compunt and seperately excited generators. Efficiency and losses in DC machines Introduction to the theory and practice of electrical measurement. Measuring instruments, meters, and the techniques associated with measurement circuits. Open circuit, load characteristic of sigle phase transformers. DC motor and generator characteristics. three phase induction motor characteristics and obtaining electrical equivalent .

2Understands the structure and operating principles of direct current machines
3Understands one-phase and three phase transformers, principles of operation and applications.
4Analyze the structure of transformers, obtains equivalent circuit according to primary and secondary
5Analyzes direct current machines and transformers, makes comment for different systems
