Course Objective The main aim is brought qualifications about digital logic concepts and operations, number systems, logic gates.
Course Content Analog and digital concepts, basic logical gates, foundation of logical functions and their definitions. Boolean algebra. The rule of De Morgan. Multiplexer, Demultiplexer, Arithmetic Logica Units, Comparators.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.

3 Basic logic gates; AND, OR, NOT, special logic gates, gate structures.
4 RTL, DTL, TTL, ECL circuits, digital integrated circuit parameters, classification, bipolar and MOS integrated circuit types.
5 Boolean algebra, De Morgan's Rule.
6 Extraction of logic functions, directions, truth table.
7 Extraction of Karnough diagram, "don't care" case, simplifications,
8 Minterms, maxterms expansion and simplification. Evaluation.
9 Transformation of gates, with the realization of the functions NAND and NOR gates.
10 Encoders, decoders.
11 Code converters.
