Course Objective The aim of course is discussing the issue of iconoclasm in Islamic art and also to defining and evaluating the illustrated manuscripts produced between 11th and 15th centuries.
Course Content The problem of Islamic painting and the early examples of illustrated manuscripts.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Will be able to have an insight on the concept of Islamic painting.
2Will be able to be introduced to the discussions on the iconoclasm.
3Will be able to be introduced to the illustrated manuscripts produced between 11th and 15th centuries.
4Will be able to define the different styles and iconographies of Islamic painting.
5Will be able to identify the different painters and have an insight on patronage.
6Will be able to gain an ability of evaluating the paintings within the cultural milieu in which they were created.
