Course Objective The aim of course is the definition of museology and the applications of museology in the world and Turkish of Museology will be explained.
Course Content The definition of museology and the applications of museology in the world and Turkish of Museology will be explained. Some themes such as the establishment and progression history of museum studies in the world and Turkey, the elements of museum, the aims of museums, aggregation, documentation, conservation and education will be discussed.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Will be able to have knowledge about the begining of museum idea.
2Will be able to recognize historical evolution of museums.
3Will be able to have knowledge about first museums and the museum notion in Ottoman Period.
4Will be able to recognize the museums in period of Osman Hamdi Bey and museum notion in afterwards.
5Will be able to have knowledge about the architecture and functions of museums and how to a museum exhibit is made.
6Will be able to have information about the chaining and docuemnting a cultural property from museums and students gain the skill by making an inventory.
