COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective	Turkish Independence War, the revolutions of Atatürk and the Kemalist Thought System with the history of the Republic of Turkey to transfer to a new generation of national and universal values. To comprehend the importance of the Turkish modernization adventure in the context of the relationship between national achievements and common civil values of humanity. To develop a scientific perspective in the face of threats against Atatürk's principles and revolutions with Kemalist thought. To unite the Turkish nation with national consciousness around national goals in line with Atatürk's thought.
Course Content	The revolutions in the political field, political parties and experiments of transition to multiparty political life, the revolutions in the field of law, regulation of social living, the innovations in the economic sphere. Turkish foreign policy in the 1923–1938 Period, Turkey's foreign policy post-Ataturk period. Principles of Turkish Revolution: Republicanism, Populism, Secularism, Reformism, Statism, Nationalism and integrative principles.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES

1	Can critically evaluate the Turkish Revolution through a comprehensive analysis of its political, legal, economic, and social dimensions.
2	Can critically analyze the attempts to establish a multi-party political system during the era of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk by examining their underlying causes and outcomes.
3	Can critically comprehend the fundamental and complementary principles of Atatürkism and evaluate this ideological system in a holistic manner."
4	Can critically analyze the domestic and foreign policies of the Republic of Türkiye after the era of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and interpret them within a broader historical framework
