Course Objective The aim of this course is to teach students the basic concepts of computer technologies, provide fundamental knowledge about computer hardware and software, and develop the ability to use office applications effectively. Within the scope of the course, students are expected to use internet technologies safely and efficiently, access information in digital environments, and gain basic information technology competencies.
Course Content The course covers the basic concepts of computers, hardware and software components, operating systems, file management, internet and network technologies, information security, word processing programs, spreadsheet applications, presentation software, e-mail usage, digital communication tools, cloud technologies, and basic information technology applications.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Students will gain knowledge about the basic and supporting hardware components of a computer and understand its operating principles. They will be able to effectively use the basic features and functions of office software, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and AI chat assistants.
2Students will be able to format, print, and publish basic documents such as assignments and petitions.
3Students will be able to use visual presentation techniques and give presentations on a topic.
4Students will be able to enter, edit, calculate, analyze, and report data in spreadsheets.
5Students will be able to analyze and report on financial statements using graphs and other visual tools with spreadsheets.
