Our faculty was initially established in 1996 as the Department of Physical Education and Sports Teaching under the Faculty of Education in the Bozkurt district of Denizli. Later, in 2002, our school was relocated to the İncilipınar Campus of the Faculty of Education in Denizli city center. Subsequently, the establishment of the School of Sports Sciences and Technology under the Rectorate of Pamukkale University was decided by the Council of Ministers on 25/04/2002, following the request of the Ministry of National Education dated 18/04/2002 and numbered 10656, in accordance with Article 30 of Law No. 2809, dated 28/03/1983. In 2014, the decision to establish the Faculty of Sports Sciences under the Rectorate of Pamukkale University was taken by the Council of Ministers on 14/08/2014 and was published in the Official Gazette on 26 August 2014, issue number 29100, thereby coming into effect. Our faculty continues its educational activities by admitting new students every year. The Physical Education and Sports Teaching Program operates with a qualified academic staff and a contemporary educational approach. Within the program, students pursue their education under the guidance of faculty members specialized in various disciplines and leading research areas, following a holistic educational approach that integrates theoretical knowledge with practical application. Our faculty aims to contribute to the field of sports sciences through scientific research and community service initiatives.

The aim of this program is to provide a contemporary physical education and sports education that adheres to Atatürk's principles and reforms, respects human rights, and integrates science and technology with originality and aesthetic values, while promoting sports culture and contributing to society. The program aims to educate qualified individuals for the benefit of society in light of universal values. Another goal of the program is to enhance the quality of national and international scientific research through its academic work and graduates while establishing itself as a leading institution in cultivating physically equipped individuals and, consequently, fostering an informed society.
