Course Objective The aim of this course is to teach private insurance in terms of professional, financial and economic, legal, organizational, commercial and sectoral aspects, with its types and applications within the scope of life and non-life branches.
Course Content In this course, insurance, insured, insurer, risk, premium and other related insurance concepts are explained. In addition, the principles of insurance, the characteristics of insurance, the operation of the insurance system, the organizational structures of insurance companies, the benefits of insurance, the documents used in insurance transactions, underinsurance, overinsurance, reinsurance, coinsurance, non-life insurance types from insurance branches, life insurance and private pension system and legislation is explained.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Knows the basic concepts of private insurance, the functioning of the insurance system, the main actors and institutions in the sector and their functions.
2Knows special types of insurance, their conditions and insurance ethics.
3Knows the procedures that insurance technical personnel, agents, brokers and experts must perform in the private insurance sector in business life and the functions of insurance company departments.
