Course Objective
The objective of this course is to introduce the student to the basic elements, methods, principles, and tools of public relations. The students will be able to execute basic public relations research, develop a basic public relations plan, implement components of that plan and evaluate the results.
Course Content
The definition, the importance and nature of public relations, the history of public relations, the similar concepts to public relations, social responsibility, total quality management and organizational culture and public relations, effective communication in public relations, the main principles and objectives of public relations, organizational image, identification and reputation in public relations, organizational structure in public relations department, the plan and management of public relations, target audience in public relations, communications tools in public relations, ethics in public relations, the effective presentation techniques and body language in public relations, the successful public relations practices in Turkey, the successful public relations practices in the world
