Course Objective The aim of this course is to teach the basic concepts of design, planning, control, and improvement of production and service systems, to provide an integrated perspective on analytical decision-making methods in a supply chain, to provide a detailed framework for demand forecasting concepts and techniques, to provide a detailed framework for the supply chain starting from capacity planning. is the teaching of planning for the whole. In line with these purposes, students will learn to use optimization software practically by learning techniques for the solution of uncertainties in real logistics systems.
Course Content This course aims to teach the concepts and techniques related to the design, planning, control, and improvement of production and service operations. Topics covered in the course are basic concepts of logistics planning and modeling, demand forecasting, stock control, linear programming models and solution methods, sensitivity analysis, transportation problems, assignment models, network analysis, and decision analysis.
